Maybe thats why we were then picked Lonely Planets OUR PICK. Now if it all goes to plan we will now become probably the only Eco Freindly hostel in Salvador as we are about to install Solar panels for water and energy. Vanda Now i have no doubt i would have just been another so so hostel if it was not for meeting this very very special woman.She started by looking after me,kept me going in my low times she then went onto bring a special bahain energy to the house. Looked after my boys (dogs) and showed all the new staff how to behave.She really does care for everybody who walks through the door. I think she is my lucky charm protecting from (olho grande) Jealous on lookers. She will even dig out bicho de porco (a creepy bug) that gets in your foot when picked up at the beach. Shes pretty pleased with me too,ive shown a few curry dishes,Tortilla espanola and how to make some rather tasty pizzas too. Simone Lucky again ,shes a little crazy but shes putting some order when it comes to keeping things clean. The Girls These are the ones that have such varied tasks from the mountanous job of cleaing up after you guys,making all the caipirinhas you want ,cleaning up what those caipis do and very importanly keeping you guys in order at 0300 in the morning when you think that its a great idea to bring that dubious looking local back to a dorm room. Most hospitable Hostel in Brazil - lovely clean and spacious rooms, great staff ever helpful and knowledgable about the Town. Paulo the owner is a good host and makes you feel safe and welcome. Free Caiprinhias everyday which creates the perfect opportunity to meet other travellers each day especially helpful if you are traveling alone as unsurprisingly everyone gathers around the courtyard at this time! Most importantly, the best social vibe of any hostel i encountered in the city.Advice is freely offered by friendly and knowledge staff.The owner takes pride in running a great place. Two enormous and charismatic dogs roam around too.There is a small pool to kick back in.oh and free caipirinha hour.Breakfast is the best I have had at a hostel and included. Trip Advisor Awesome! This is a fantastic hostel, by far my favourite in Brazil. Super friendly, really clean, breakfast I'll 12 - which is handy as the serve free cocktails every evening. We stayed there on a Tuesday night - which happens to be party night in the town centre, so danced the night away to Samba music. I would 100% recommend! Trip Advisor The most perfect hostel! Great facilities, the staff are so lovely, Paulo is so nice and professional- they were especially kind when I was sick. And the activities and discount at Zulu bar are great bonuses. Booked for one week but extended to two and met some of the most amazing backpackers in this hostel! If I am in Salvador again I would not hesitate to stay here! Oh and I forgot to mention the incredible breakfast served until 12!! Spartan is also the cutest dog in the world. Thanks guys HostelWorld The hostel is ran very well, it was impressive that the owner was aware our stay, names and the duration of our stay. The pool was very clean, all staff especially the kitchen staff were lovely. I especially enjoyed the Eggs and Sausages at breakfast - a welcomed change from the usual bread, Ham and cheese (although this is still available). The hostel book is very imformative, with the added bonus that Zulu resultant is joint owned, thus guests receive 10% in selected items - delicious food HostelWorld Bar ZULU Its not to be outdone by Galeria 13 as its also in the LONELY PLANET. We offer quite an original menu for Brazil with our burgers getting a very big thumbs up,great spicy chicken, a super creamy Burrata and pesto dish , veggie options, and plenty of other yummy stuff, and of course Moqueca.
